The Cars
The Cars were an American rock band that formed in the late 1970s. They achieved critical and popular success with several hit albums and songs in the late 70s and 80s. Their sound combined guitars, bass drums and synthesizers, and their new wave and pop rock melodies are often cited as influencial on modern bands.

VCM_INIT_Template_Vintage_Voice_Modeling_Patch.hydra
This is a single patch version of my VCM Vintage Voice Modeling INIT template for Hydrasynth. Four Macro controls give you easy access to Vintage Knob style character on the Hydra, or more nuanced control over specific sections of the synth engine - Oscillators, Filters, and Envelopes / LFOs 1 and 2. At max settings you get variances similar to what I measured on various vintage poly synths, but not going into "broken synth" territory. Note: since Hydra Deluxe has eight more voices, you will need to copy the VoiceMod values from VoiceMod Table Offests 1-8 to 9-16. And I recommend altering each by a small amount +/- 3 value.

It's like a Harmonicon, but not! Performance knobs 1 and 5 control the timing of the two layers, in multiples of the base tempo. Nice polyrhythms are possible. Layer mod knobs 1-4 control the 4 pitches in each layer (turn off "performance mod knobs"). It's also polyphonic. Play with the filter cutoff for each layer too.
